I've just gotten back into fiction... which of Koontz's books would you suggest? I just read The Taking and was a little let down at the end, but overall it was worth reading. Do you read any John Saul?

I used to read a bunch of John Saul and fondly remember Creature. Haven't read anything of his in forever. I'd also recommend Clive Barker, and Peter Straub in similar veins.

http://wellah.livejournal.com/tag/book+challenge That should let you know which ones I've liked from Dean Koontz, as I've really read a lot of his work lately.
