"Sweetie,
Options for me from management today:
Monday - any 12 hour shift+ lunch
Tuesday ~ off
Wednesday ~ any 12 hour shift + lunch
Thursday ~ off
Friday ~ any 8 hour shift + lunch
Saturday ~ same shift as now with flexible conditions
Sunday ~off
Oh, and 11 or 14 hours shifts are not available either.
Moreover, if I want to “maximize” the “new and improved” incentive bonus, an additional ½ hr per day would be then required; this block of time cannot be added onto any one day.
However, I declined their offer. I have two face-to-face interviews with Staff Finders(10:30am) and Express Personal(2pm) tomorrow."
Now I understand that they have been treating their workers like crap, and things have been deteriorating there, lots of folks have been walking etcetera. They advertise themselves as a "flexible" workplace, but weren't willing to work with him on shifting schedules for school, or dealing with the fact that the earliest bus gets to the worksite at 7 AM on Saturdays, and they consistently schedule him and others who rely on transit to start at 6 AM that day.
He's been spending money on textbooks and certification tests, and whatever else, and this job paid way less than his political jobs, (although he has had insurance this time), so money has been really tight. Now it's going to be getting even worse.
So... any spare karma or good thoughts or vibes or anything similar that you have to spare would be appreciated to send his/my way, so that he can be gainfully employed by next week again at the latest! *ARGH!!!!!!*
