(no subject)
So it has been quite awhile. I do not think I have updated since last summer or even been on this site since then I could be wrong.
Yeah so this past semester nearly killed me. I have never had so much school work before. I got a job on campus in November and have been working in the slide library during the week and Toys on the weekends during the semester, but now since it is summer I'm just at Toys again. All my hard work paid off however I received As in all four classes and brought my GPA up to 3.92. Lot of good that does I have still yet to get any scholarship money and have pretty much just given up with applying for them and financial aid because I never receive a dime.
It honestly does not feel like summer yet to me. I feel as though this one is different. One of my favorite parts of summer is laying outside by my pool every morning with a book and taking a swim eventually. But my pool still is not ready..my dad says something is wrong with the filter. I have not really had the chance to hang out with anyone too much. I honestly have felt like just keeping to myself the past week and a half. I have been taking more naps then usual too.
Alex got an awesome internship for the summer at the DOT in Providence. He gets forty hours a week and an hourly payment I could only dream of at this point. Although raises are next month thankfully. Sucks because he works 7 to 330 and I close nearly everyday I work during the week so we have perfectly opposite schedules. I miss him coming over early. I however took off saturdays from now on so that we at least have one full day to spend together. We have different things to do planned for every saturday which is exciting.
I had an amazing day this past sunday my best summer day yet. Alex and I went to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts I got to see the Venice exhibition I have been wanting to see. It was a nice museum, but a little pricey even with student discounts. On our way back we went to Emerald Square, ate lunch and walked around. I had Arby's for the first time in ages, yum. Returned to his house napped, woke up and went to visit Rabia at the Hookah bar off Thayer. I actually smoked one and it was not all that bad, but not something I would do often. Alex let me choose the strawberry flavor.
So I have high hopes for this summer. Definitely want to get to Block Island, Six Flags, Ghost tour at Slater Mill, beach, bowling..etc. I made a list so I do not forget anything. Cannot wait for this friday going out to eat lunch with Laura who I miss and hanging out with Rabia later on in the afternoon & the following friday going to see Gogol Bordello in Boston with Alex, Kyle and someone else I believe who I do not know.
Also excited to finally go camping again..although I sadly have nobody to bring along :( I haven't gone since 11th grade, but it is always fun unless it rains!! My mom's job is not doing well so we had to accept a lesser vacation this summer, but I am happy as long as we do something.
