on a light note

Snippet of a conversation I heard on my way to the school post office today: "Polygamy, hands down." I will confess to being intrigued. You see, depending on the context, I might agree with that.

Also, told my boss today that next Tuesday is my last day at work for the semester because my work study money runs out then. He looked aghast, and I promptly received a call from the department secretary asking me to please continue working until school lets out, and they'll pay me out of the department funds. It's nice to feel needed. :)

Will be rewatching more of season 2 of Supernatural tonight. Ah, Winchesters, you make my rainy Tuesday a happy one.

Dad and his on-again, off-again girlfriend have broken up for what seems to be the last time. Who can tell, with those two. But still. Annoying as their tempestuous relationship was, and relieved as I am that they seem to have finally called it quits, I find the snarky comment her oldest daughter left on my dad's Facebook page ENTIRELY facetious and immature and uncalled for. I'd be snarky right back at her except my dad is a grown man who can fight his own battles. Still. What the hell.

On a less (or maybe more) dramatic front, I'm starting to think my cat's brain is actually broken. He is wandering around the kitchen backwards with a Kleenex box stuck on his head, and seems utterly imperturbed at his inability to actually navigate thus impaired. In fact I'd go so far as to say he's enjoying himself. He's run into the stove and the refrigerator already, and is on track for the trash can. I am worried enough for him that I have tried twice to remove the box; he simply stuck his head back in and resumed his wayward sojourn. Repeat. What the hell.

I postulate that rather than sitting back with sexy ghostbusting brothers on the telly and a loaf of pumpkin cranberry bread in my lap, I should go shopping for my sisters' birthday, which is on Friday. But ehhhh, it's raining out there in Market Chipping and it's not raining in here, and there is pumpkin cranberry bread to be had and sexy dimpled Impala-driving Winchesters to be had watched, and it is only Tuesday. Try again tomorrow.

blather, best cat ever, oh my life, supernatural
