Mini-Vacation Day 1: San Diego in the Sun
Having a grand time on my mini vacation so far. Flight landed in San Diego around 1pm so we whisked off for a nice brushetta and Field Greens salad lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. Very yummy and much needed after a long winter of heavy food up north. Was nice to enjoy my ice tea in the sun. On arrival home we leashed up the hounds and took them for a stroll up and around Mt. Soledad, my chow was ecstatic I was home and hasn't been out the the same room as me since I've been here. For a bit of fun in the evening we headed out to the Firehouse Fundraiser at Rock Bottom Brewery and despite the crowds and over run waitresses had an excellent time. There were two auctions, a silent auction with gift baskets filled with normal auctiony things and a fireman auction.
The fireman auction was just.....wow. I was totally unprepared for the OMG hotness of shirtless firemen in gear. The first boy up for sale, was horribly shy and was trying his best despite being thrown to the sharks by his pals, So cute trying to pose. After that it was gratuitous flexing and strutting on the bar aaaallllll for the ladies benefit. Also the beer was well hopped.
