May's monsoon rains overloaded the storm sewers, so it backed up into the basement, leading to a flood at least 3 feet deep. Double check the flood policy... my friends had one, they didn't find out until the assessor came out that it didn't cover foundation damage caused by the earth movement (even though the earth movement was CAUSED by the flood), or that contents were not covered, only furnace, washer/dryer, water heater, well pressure tanks... etc. They had also never been sent a copy of the policy so they would have known this information.

I know what water in the basement is like... no fun at all.
