[Ruri nods to Ken, she doesn't know him well, but knows he's Miakis' friend and he sounded a bit down on the phone]

"I can't really play soccer with you, but if you want I have a virtual version of it.... If it would help."

Mmm? Oh hey there. [He smiles a bit at her. They've never really talked in person but he's heard her over the phone once or twice.]

[Her eyes flash with electricity for a second as a soccer video game appears on a hologram next to him.]

"I'm sure Miakis will be back soon. If I'm not mistaken that's why you look so glum, right?"

Whoa! [Sorry Ruri, it's going to take him a minute. He wasn't expecting that.]

Ah...yeah. I know. And yeah...[This was a big reason as to why he was sad, though there were other factors. Miakis was just the most important.]

[He pokes the hologram] That's really neat!

[She pulls a plastic controller out of her purse and offers it to him then sits down]

"I don't have the stamina for actual soccer."

Nanomachines? Those things actually exist outside of sci-fi shows? [Ken blinked at her, and then shook his head.]

Naw, if you're ok with out one, I'll get used to it. We are after all playin' on a screen that appeared out of no where in the middle of a park. I can deal with you wagglin' your fingers to make the stuff move.

I guess so...That's probably it. [It takes him a minute to figure out the controls, but soon he's having fun with her and the game.]

I guess so. I mean, my world has some weird things too, and you know Miakis it seems... [Thankfully he doesn't mind loosing in video games.]

A bit? She enjoys shocking people a little too much I think. Oh well, it's just the way she is...and she means well underneath all that. [He smiles very fondly.]

You probably are then. I think Miakis knows how to get on with lots of different types of people. Besides, you don't seem that detached to me.
