[Have a Lyon, moping around downstairs. The crushing terror that somewhere out there the Prince is dead has vanished, but she doesn't know that Ken or Miakis is back yet. That is, until she smells breakfast cooking and dashes into the kitchen.]

[Ken smiled and turned around] Hey Lyon! [He's more then willing to put on an extra happy face for her.]

Ya hungry? Breakfast is almost ready.

[Looking understandably confused, Lyon furrows her brow and rubs at her eyes.]

Am I still asleep...?

[weiss_tank]

No you're not. [Ken reaches out to gently bop her on the head with a wooden spoon.]

We're back. Sorry for worrying you and leaving you alone for so long.

[float_like_a]

[Poutyface as she lightly rubs where the spoon hit.]

We...? So does that mean Miakis...? She's back too?

[weiss_tank]

[Ken nodded.]

Yeah, she's safe and sound and awake. She might be in the shower but even then she'll be done soon if you wanna go say hi.

Oh, thank goodness...!

[Lyon lets out a huge sigh of relief, smiling much more readily now as she wipes a stray tear from the side of her eye.]

I'm sorry that you and Omi had to be on your own for so long in that shit.

I'm just glad everyone is okay.

[weiss_tank]

Yeah. It'll take a a while for a few people to mentally recover but...

I'm just glad to be alive at this point.

I was pretty worried when neither of you came home, and when I heard that Miakis' body was still outside Lily's house the next morning.

[Ken sighed and sat down at the kitchen table.]

Looks like neither of us lasted long then. She said a little bit about it, but I don't think she's quite resolved herself to it yet.

Dying and coming back from it can't be an easy thing to have to endure. I can't blame her for not really wanting to talk about it.

Yeah. It ain't pleasant, that's for sure. [Now that Ken has actually died and come back to life a few times, he has a good perspective on it. However, the time that haunts him most is still the first, in the heart of that warehouse while it blazed around him.]

I suppose it probably happens to everyone in this town sooner or later.

Unfortunately. Every man, woman, and I hate to say it, kid is probably gonna get offed at least once. [This does not sit well with him.]
