[OOC] Annoying things about some RPers in WrA

Jul 16, 2011 10:13

So far, but annoyance. This is why I prefer RPing Zain or my well-known chars out of sight, not in the public. It's just a few experiences, but I know most RPers in WrA are wonderful people and had fun RPing in the server. But there's some things that annoy me.

Scenario 1: People responding to me in OOC to what -Zain- has spoken IC.

Ok, I know Zain ( Read more... )

wyrmrest accord, rant, ooc

In terms of #4, I find if I answer them in a tell, they usually get the hint and start asking their OOC questions in said tell. If they don't, I ask them in the same tell ((Would you mind if we had this OOC conversation in tells? I only use /s for IC conversation. )).

So far, I haven't had anyone get pissed off or refuse.

Scenario 3: Shy people who OOC emote way too much.My favorites are the shy ones who sit in a corner typing long emotes that amount to "S/he sighs, takes a sip of her/his drink and continues looking around the room/reading a book/some other super passive comment ( ... )

On #4, usually I do tell people in whispers that we're RPing and don't want to be OOCly bothered but will welcome IC interactions, but in that scenario of that guy just rudely asking about his RP outfit and running off like that, I just... I don't even...

Felt really snubbery and irritating.

I'm okay with shy ones RPing or emoting ICly like that. In fact, my characters are usually extroverted and I get to engage in a walk up RP easily with that like that.

What annoys me are those that go:

Shy person: ((oomg it's ezi)) /targets Ezi *spams /love, /hug, /wave at me, clearly OOCly*

Me: Uh ok? */waves back*

Shy person: ((I would like to RP with you but I'm so shy to!)) *spams /love and /kiss and /hug some more and runs off*

Me: Okay.........? If you're too shy to walk up and interact with me ICly, why are you NOT shy to spam me emo--- Oh she's gone. Damn.

See how annoying it can be? 9_6 blargh!

Hehe, when people do that to me, I remind them via tells that I'm ALWAYS IC in emotes, say and yell, and WILL take whatever they do as IC even if they mean it as OOC because always IC. :D

Sometimes that makes them stop.

((Calleo will forever remember you now as that weird Elf who ran up, licked his face, and ran off.))

((But, I was OOC!!))

((Ah, but I told YOU I'm never OOC in /s or /e.))

((...))

The next time I saw that guy he actually apologized IC for the lick and explained it as someone having spiked his drink earlier in the evening. XD

Oh, you mean the "I'm too important to actually come over to interact with you but I'll continue inputting emotes to remind you of my presence until you come over then be dismissive of you and rude when you do" emoters?Erg, I hate those people ( ... )

/facepalm

It's not hard to be IC... instead of wasting next 15mins arguing about his gold, pvp, etc bla bla. Yeah that sort of stupidity - DONOTWANT.

I also like the "I'm in PvP" gear, as though that should indicate something.

I have three PvP sets for Calleo for RP.

Okay.

Looking at it, it was way too long for a comment. I just reposted it: http://bricriu.livejournal.com/30507.html

I'd be surprised if a lot of the people moaning about it aren't people who left MG for WrA.

They were probably the same people who whined about it on MG.
