Ever woken up by a nine month old kitten biting your fingers? Well i did, this morning. It was my sisters birthday-party yesterday and as i've never been at ther new home for long, it was decided i would spend the night over there. She has 4 cats, whom all have the habit of crawling in the bed during the night. Even the scared three-legged Balou. Though woody will not allow them coming close to the head of the bed. Guess it's the dominant position?
Suomi prolly did take pics of the cats, i had taken my camera along, but had forgotten my SD-card.....
Anyway, i'm here to tell you about the Fantasy Fair. We had lovely weather, really sunny and no sign of the expected rain, so i dragged an umbrella along for nothing. It also was extremely crowded, which did start to annoy me later on. Because it IS annoying when there's a que walking on the paths and suddenly 5 of them stop to talk in the middle of it, so no one can pass.
And we couldn't spot Spike, since we weren't willing to pay 15 euro's for an autograph and his manager had managed to conjure a closed tent for him. Usually, they sit in a tent with only two sides in it, so you can at least see something. Too bad, but 15 euro's is a lot of money.
I had taken quite some money along with me, but didn't spend much. Actually i just spend 9.90 euro's of the 100 i carried. On a Terry Pratchett books of course!
Of course there were quite some well-costumed people there, but also a lot of monkey-spotters a.k.a people wearing boring every-day stuff. I fear it has to do with the costume-competition which was cancelled last year and this year. People aren't motivated to wear costumes i guess. Don't understand why. I love the fact that for one day i can wear the stuff i want with a good excuse. "Oh this outfit? Yeah it's the Elf Fantasy Fair today!"
Poor Jantje couldn't enjoy the fair a lot since she had a serious attack of hay-fever.
Anywho, on to the photo's!
Jantje and her brother Tobias (Toby) both in quite medieval outfits. Toby was dressed as a rogue, carrying two swords, and Jantje as a medieval girl, in green. This was early on the day, so she was still smiling. At the end she was jsut sniffing and coughing. Poor thing.
"Give me your money or die!" Toby posing. Picture made by Jantje, who's a pro-photographer and always comes up with these kind of interesting pics. Anyway, Tobias is 19, almost 20, and still single. Anyone interested?
A sneaky shot of Suomi and Sanne. Sanne had forgotten her E-ticket, but fortunately the festival organisation had thought of that and there were pc's avalaible. Otherwise it would have been 20 euro's down the drain for her.
Suomi looked stunning in her outfit and with the light wig.
Well, Yeah. This is me. I do think i did quite nice with the outfit. The skirt is just absolutely stunning, thanks to
ak_atelier
It's a great shape for someone as curvy as me me. (Nicely put) Miraculously i also had a nice-hair-day, it went poofy and wild without me putting a real effort in it. Did put some extre-extra-extra strong hairspray in it. Might have helped. And a big thank you for Suomi lending me her petti and one of the red hair-pieces.
In conclusing, i can conlude two things. 1. I should buy more red clothes. 2. I should defenitely loose some weight. I think i look even fat in this corset. And i ripped the corset so i'm defenitely right.
Hmmmmm coffee! Pretty Suomi enjoying a dose of coffee after a long day. I think the white hair looks lovely with her skin and dark make-up, don't you think?
Quinn! And the dutch scenery passing by. I agree with Suomi about Taeyangs being prettier than ball-jointed dolls. The latter scare me more, because their limbs don't look right. Too long or something. Though Quinns eyes still scare me. But Suomi and he make a beautiful pair!
Jantje and me. Had to put this pic in, because Jantje and i don't have much photo's together! And all of you can see a bit of Castle de Haar in the background. Don't watch my face though. I really, really am NOT suitable as a photomodel. I always seem to make weird faces when the photo is taking, making me look like a fat piggy. Or i really AM a fat piggy.
Ah well ,we did have a lovely day. Even with the hay-fever and the crowd of people. Maybe the sunday wouldn't be bad after all, it's always less crowded then. We'll see next year. Jantje said she'd try purple next year, and me? Wel.....don't know yet.
