Kind of eventful day, if we're talking the weather.
So it rained here today - morning to well, now. And throw in a little bit of hail every now and then too. Haven't had hail for awhile.
Anyway, I took a different umbrella out into today's weather that seemed more like the Melbourne I grew up with. ;) Because my umbrella i've been using snapped a spike *sigh* Hardly any umbrella lasts long in the windy rain here... Anyway, I didn't get too wet until I was coming home and down my street, since the wind blows up it and I got more wet than I've been in ages (from the weather that is not counting showers/baths etc). So, for the first time since I can't remember when I had a warm shower and got out of my wet jeans when I came home.
The other thing to do with the weather most likely is that after class I decided to go to the campus library and when sitting there the computer suddenly went out. Oh, and the lights went out! Haha, I've never had any power failure whilst I was in the library before! Exciting. All the computers on that level were out, and it was very dark. People shouted and you could hear silence for a few seconds before people registered what was happening. LOL. A number of people hadn't saved their work... So, I sat there for a few minutes seeing if they would come back on, but it was about 3:30pm so I took off for the train.
I got to the next level to get out (I was sitting in the basement level where the majority of computers are) and all the computers were out there also, and most of the lights. The staff were all crowded at the front of the customer desks looking around and talking. Heh, looked like they had no idea either!
I got to the station and.... the power was out there too! Luckily no trees or anything had fallen so the train still came but you couldn't validate your tickets or see on the board when the next train was due. Ah the electronic less age! ;)

Armageddon Expo/Convention this weekend! Anyone else now going? Tomorrow? Sunday? Tomorrow and Sunday?
borg_princess I doubt I'll see you this time if you aren't coming on Sunday anymore! :( But it can't be helped. You'll have to tell me what Torri talks about at her panel then! :) I'll still be seeing a couple of people my friend first met at Supanova this year -she wasn't coming at first but when I found out Torri Higginson was coming and told her she rushed to buy a ticket for Sunday :P, and my long time friend
tilly_rose_star who is volunteering for both days, as she did with Supanova.
Here's my list of people I am interested in seeing/meeting/talking/photos/autographs from (in order of preference and thing I know them from):
Main stars-
Sylvester McCoy -7th, Doctor Who
Paul McGann -8th, Doctor Who
Sophie Aldred -Ace, Doctor Who (I don't care too much as I don't remember her, but if I get the 3 photo-op shot it would be nice!)
Torri Higginson- Elizabeth Weir!, Stargate: Atlantis (I wish I was having dinner with her tomorrow night. What? A girl can dream...)
Other-
Bill Farmer - Voice of Goofy/Pluto and some in Space Jam plus more
John DiMaggio - Bender in Futurama (and Rico in Penguins of Madagascar)
Jason Palmer - Artist licensed for Whedon-verse, I hadn't heard of him but I searched him and his stuff is so prettyyy *melts*
Lar DeSouza - Artist (if he drew the pic on his page there I wouldn't mind seeing what he's got on offer...)
Back to tv...
Michael Shanks - Daniel Jackson, Stargates (I haven't really seen his character so...)
*the edited bit.-Also! Just announced via Twitter that
Jay Laga'aia will be special guest MC'ing the main stage! And will be signing too. :D He was in the vampire movie Daybreakers I saw, and of course Playschool. ;) (International people might know him from MacLeod's Daughters, Legend of the Seeker and Star Wars)
So Michael is married to Lexa Doig but she is now sick and cannot make it, she had a panel on the Sunday at 1pm...I wonder what they are going to have then instead...
So depending on how much money I can get from my hair straightner present which I never got...I plan on getting the three person photo shot for Doctor Who, and a photo with Torri! I don't know about signing, I'd go with Torri. But when am I (if ever?) going to see these Doctor Who actors again?! *decisions decisions* And for those new to my friends list *waves at you* I am terribly indecisive. So.

Now that the Commonwealth Games concluded last night, my tv schedule is filling up! I'll re-type the ones that I've already mentioned but here's what's coming up for me...
The Bill (FINAL EPISODE EVER) - Saturday 16th 8.30pm, ABC. (tomorrow night! Okay, later today, but hey I started this entry yesterday. ;) ) *I already have declined a dinner outing at Taco Bill's tomorow tonight to make sure I see it because even if I record it I'm sure I will never watch it. Saying that if someone offerred me their ticket to dinner with Michael Shanks and Torri Higginson tonight I'd go instantly. Hehe.
*walks away from computer to say good night to brother and get some biscuits. One orange creme and a Kingston (chocolate creme)*
Underlined shows aren't premering shows, just continuing their run.
Bones - Sunday 17, 9pm, Seven (2 days!!) *odd time because of X-Factor
Medium - Sunday October 17, 9.30pm, Ten *I don't watch regularly but this ep looks good
Sherlock - Sunday October 17, 8.30pm, Nine and next day Monday 8.30pm too. *I'm surprised we get it so quickly and even more surprised its on channel Nine! Nine is really stealing from ABC because they can. Poor ABC. :(
The Event - Mondays 8.30pm, Seven
Covert Affairs - Mondays 9.30pm, Seven
Iron Chef Australia - Tues Oct 19, 7.30pm, Seven
NCIS - Tuesday Oct 19, 8.30pm, Ten *no sign of Los Angeles yet
Glee - Returns from 2 wk break Wednesday 20, 7.30pm, Ten
The Good Wife - Wed 20, 8.30pm, Ten
House - Returns from 2 wk break Wed 20, 9.30pm, Ten
CSI - Thursday October 21, 9.30pm 8.30pm, Nine *swapped times with Cops LAC (New Aussie show beginning now)
Warehouse 13 - Thursdays 8.30pm, 7Mate
Caprica - Thursdays 9.30pm, 7Mate
CSI: Miami - Monday Oct 25, 9.30pm, Nine
Castle - Sunday 31, 9.30pm after Bones, Seven *Got announced TODAY! woo!
So in two weeks time if I used this list I'd have...
3 shows Sundays, 3 shows Mondays, 2 shows Tuesdays, 3 shows Wednesdays, 3 shows Thursdays, no shows Fridays or Saturdays.
Woo. *whistles* This is like when 2 years ago. Hah. But. Its really going to be more like 2 on Sundays, 3 Mondays, 1 Tues, 1 Wed, 2 Thurs.
Because Medium I don't really watch, Iron Chef will probably be boring compared to Jap Iron Chef (even though I'd like the chefs featured Guy Grossi!), Good Wife and House I'm still not caught up on, Caprica is really slow and I'm losing patience for once. To decide between watching and recording Warehouse 13 or new CSI. Hm hard choice. If it was at Caprica's time easy, CSI! But Warehouse 13...CSI does have the Bieber...ooh that'd make it worthwhile. *has innocent coughing attack* Has anyone seen Nikkita yet? It premieres here on Go! 28th Oct...
Now, I have spent over an hour typing this up. My longest (at least time wise) entry in a long time.
PS. Go fill out my post
here. Only 2 letters to fill. *glares at you who sees this but hasn't contributed yet* (In the nicest possible glaring way of course...)
Oh, and its back to rain and hailing for a change. *goes to get more biscuits*
EDITED: Day after to add a person to the line up. ;)
