And now, we cheat on NaPoWriMo

We, that is, is I
and you, the audience,
and the cheat will only work
if you read in my time zone
live in my time zone
believe in my time zone

and I'm not always sure that I do that
certainly enough insanity happens here
that I'd prefer to be somewhere else

now and then

despite the snoring dog,
the bitter coffee tang in my mouth
and the strange resounding hurt that caffeine brings to my head,
my preference is to be here now.
The only somewhere else I'd prefer to be
is with him (oh shocked you are, I'm sure)
and he probably needs his space

I don't know-
Everything I think comes back to him now
but there's remarkably so much for me still to learn about him
and that's terrific
and that's terrifying
and I wonder how much a nerd I would be perceived to be
if I started researching when and how
those two terrors diverged.

truly though,
the cheat has one more contingency:
you must believe that the clock is the arbiter of a new day's start
and not your own perception.

I do not,
and that is why I know this is a cheat.

(but it gives me plenty of time to write again for Saturday.)
