I normally say
to any and all challenges that might come my way
that I respectfully decline
and will find other ways to spend my time.
I prefer that if I must be challenged,
I can do it myself.
I'm stubborn that way.
I think perhaps
this month is different.
I think perhaps,
I might just do the
NaPoWriMo.
I make no promises.
I try never to.
No promises of keeping up,
no promises of artistry.
If a poem does happen to appear here daily,
whether by true effort or meddling with the posting date,
it won't be beautiful imagery
well-crafted meter
or intentional well-crafted rhyme.
But it might just happen. We shall see.
