The family visit to work our asses off.

So we got back from the USA trip to see the in-laws (arasins folks)  We worked our asses off.  The Casino across the road and down 1/2 mile did fireworks so I got to see some pretty.  I now know that I do not want an acre of rolling grass and rock lined streams lined with fruit trees and such.  Not unless I have it set up too mow with a riding lawn mower and the streams are lined with something to slow down the weeds.  I weeded, harvested fruit (the best part), helped sort boxes of stuff the family (kids) leavings, made sure the frozen meals were defrosted and heated and washed dishes, helped string the wire for the grape vines, took down bird netting and reset said netting with deer fencing.  I know I did something else but cannot think of what, other than sweat.  Arasin mowed with a push mower, dug holes (digging out the rocks to dig the holes) set the post in cement and filled the holes. Crawled around in a 4ft loft in the heat to bring down the aforementioned 'stuff', sorted through items (keep, throw away), reset the deer fence in front, and around the azaleas bed, we all sorted the shed out, and in general provided the muscles for his mom and me.  His brother Andy helped dig the post holes, sort, take out and in for mom, washed the small white stones (that had been left in the mud) placed them around the house and edged it.  This was with Tina his SO who also helped in the heating and feeding and washing up, and they did the carport. Which consisted of take all the shelves down and clean up and reset after placing heavy wire mesh around the inside edges to keep out the rats and such. Then put back in the shelving and put the plant pots and garden stuff on the shelves.  Ben did the inside repairs to the wall (oh yea we moved in the new refrigerator and I washed it and moved all the food over to it) he also hooked up the outside sink and made a stacked rock base for it. Anna had the huge amount of sorting to do as she lived there the longest so had the most to sort, as well as helping others who needed a hand. Lots done and finished and over.

This was all done in 90's with humidity in the 60's and up.  No one was willing to get up early and do it in the cooler part of the days so sweat we did.
cook we did, eat we did.  done!
