Ok so Arasin is home got home Sunday April 28th. First we went up to Lakenheath to do the turn in of official items on Mon morning, getting something to eat on base was a joke and not a nice one. Got to go see the movie Crocks and it was a blast. (I cannot seem to 'enter' to new paragraph so deal) For the next 4 days we did in-processing and house and a nice hash walk for me and run for him. Then on Thursday afternoon we drove to Isle of Wight for a mini-vacation. It was great the ferry crossing was smooth and fast (45 min) and the Isle is beautiful. Saw the Waltzing Waters at Lakenheath that night I loved them. Lights, a huge water fountain and music (waltzing, lakenheath, and Disney) great show, and the next day after breakfast was off to the Bradling Roman Villa ruins lots of great floor mosaics and the information was really well laid out. Then we went by the Garlic farm where I bought Elephant Garlic, smoked garlic and some mustard (think made with mustard seeds) yummy. Off we went for lunch at the Bluebells at Briddlesford Farm where they have a Guernsey herd that is so checked that they can sell 'unpasteurized whole milk' so Arasin got to taste it for the first time ever! He tasted what I have been going on and on about for years, as I grew up on "full" milk and hate the taste of the white goop sold as milk. Which is why I use Almond milk totally different so no problems. The lunch provided there was excellent, caramelized onions in a Thai chili / jelly sauce with brazed beef on a lushus salad. Then we went off to Carisbrooke Castle and watched the donkey work the water wheel (a real giggle) and see the museum that was endowed by Princess Beatrice the youngest of Queen Victoria's children. It had a lot of info on Charles I and his incarceration there. After we had driven out to the Needles and verified that yes the chair lift was not working still we went for supper at the best place ever. The Blue Crab Restaurant in Yarmouth, where we feasted on a huge Crab with salad and shrimp. It was done so well/perfect that working through all the legs and links was yummy and not a chore. Added in a side of crawfish salad (a introduced pest) and ale for Arasin and the night was perfect. Then we ordered the Creme Bruele OMG it was the best I have ever had, the top was warm from just melting the sugar and the bruele was to die for. The next day we got up had breakfast and went to the Market in Ryde where I got to top up with gluten free treats from the Twins Gluten free Bakery. A short ferry ride an home again home again. ia iiahia
