Worst in ten years
Orion came down with the flu Saturday, complete with high fever, chills, body aches, and coughing till u barf. Sunday I caught it. Today Fenris has it.
We went to the doctor to find out why, exactly, we've all been sick so much. O in particular has been sick more than half a dozen times over the past four months.
I asked the doc about black mold or something like that, but she said that will give you one kind of really nasty respiratory illness, not different viruses over and over. She wasn't even super-concened that we'd all been sick so much. It's been, she told us, the worst season for viruses in over ten years. If you have small children, you may as well just kiss your ass goodbye. Okay she didn't QUITE put it that way, but it was close.
I just can't believe how sick everybody is. It hurts just to exist. The poor cat has his panties in a bunch because no one can stand to have his weight on them. (Except Daniel, who has miraculously missed this so far.)
My mom's supposed to have surgery Wednesday. There's a good chance she'll have to take a cab. They sure as hell don't want people with my kind of gnarly illness in the surgical outpatient wing.
My head feels like it's gonna explode.
