hey stranger

I have this huge post about the wedding. Not done with it. Will post it later. Maybe...

I might start a blog, too. I don't know. I am torn. Everyone who is married/have kids have these trendy blogs to keep all friends and family updated. I want to be trendy, don't I? Meh. Maybe.

I have a job! I have been working here for a while, actually. It all came together the week after our honeymoon. I went in to get interviewed for a student producer position at BYU Broadcasting. I had interviewed for it before we got married, and did not get the position. The girl that did get hired quit because it was too stressful. Hah. So I really wasn't super jazzed about the job, but it was a job no less and I went in for another interview. At my interview, though, the guy interviewing me thought I'd be more suited for an editor position. He told me he wasn't going to hire me for the producer position (fewf), but he would pass my name along, and here I am, working in Post-Production at BYU Broadcasting.

Work is pretty good, but I am suspicious about being on a computer all day. I have been having headaches. Hm. But I am getting a lot of good experience. My supervisor has worked on stuff for Arrested Development and American Idol.

So I am really happy about that. And the government noticed I wasn't going to be able to pay for tuition. So they gave me money to do that. Pretty nice of them, I'd say.

Jordan and I went to Alaska for our honeymoon. It was so great. For one, cruises are always generally a low-stress vacation, since your room is taken care of the entire stay. Not to mention the food is amazing, and you don't have to worry about which restaraunt to go to. Not to mention Alaska was ah-mazing. We did horseback riding in Skagway, saw huge glaciers, went to a salmon hatchery (bigger than the one in Issaquah, haha), saw whales and seals and bald eagles and a wolf I think, and took a helicopter to a glacier, hiked on the glacier, and drank the pure glacier water. Yeah.

School starts today. Ah! I work all day until my first class at 4pm (New Media). Tomorrow I have classes all day (Screenwriting, Volleyball, TA for Film 102, ASL). I'm not getting paid to TA because I can only work 20 hours on campus. And my job at BYU Broadcasting is considered an on-campus job- it's not on BYU campus, it's at the KMC building off of State St headed towards Springville. And I am still working on the India Documentary, which I can't get paid for that anymore. So I am being a TA and working on the documentary for class credit.

ok! back to work.

college, work
