bother.

I just got woken up by someone ringing the doorbell about a dozen times. I finally rolled out of bed to see who was at the door, thinking perhaps it's some birthday surprise... It sure was! The Colony Maintenance was at the door, telling me the huge writing that went from my doorstep, down the sidewalk and onto the street saying "Happy Birthday Sarah!" among other things, was vandalism and it surely is not allowed on The Colony property. They are hosing it down and washing it off right now, I barely had the chance to even look at it. So, thank you Colony Maintenance and managers for helping me start off my birthday bright and early.

Good riddance, I say, to The Colony. Oh, and also- how dare you. Get a grip. It's sidewalk chalk. You know, children use it to color on the sidewalk outside their house. And here's the thing- it washes off! It's completely harmless! Say! Whaddya know! Honestly, is it really worth it? To treat your tenants this way? I never.

I am living in a house next year. We signed the contracts this week. The manager said we can basically do whatever we want- just as long as the place isn't trashed when we're done with it. So yes, good riddance indeed.

We're leaving for Moab today. It'll be good to get out of Provo for the weekend. I'm stoked. Oh, and since we are going today, Rachel and Becca and Morgan (and Paul) threw me a party last night. They decorated with streamers and color-coordinated my presents with my favorite color and made me a mint-chocolate cake.  My roommates (Keely, Cait, and Katelyn) also came down to visit and have a pool party before the cake party. I'm real lucky. They all treat me so well.

I think I'll take a quick nap before I get ready. Sheesh.
