i'm the worst person for not having done anything for you for your birthday, but i might be coming down to the city soon, and if i do, i will visit you and take you out to chocolate cake, and if i don't, then i reserve you for that for the fall.
i know it's misery wanting to be who you were in the past and wanting to maybe go back to that, but also being where you are right now, and being ok with that - and mostly just being pulled in 345068379 directions and not knowing what to do about it. i can't offer any help or advice; i don't have the answers. but you should just know that i understand where you're coming from, and i miss you passionately. i reallllllly do.

Just so you know, being alone is not that terrible at all. And this is coming from someone who has been "alone" for nearly all of my almost-20 years on earth. Maybe you could use some alone time to figure out some stuff that's bugging you.
