From up here, you could see the older part of town without a problem. The park was in sight and there wasn't the glow of the portal that Kyle knew would come. They had some time yet. This would be the last time he'd see John here. In a few months, Kyle knew he was going home for good. There wouldn't be a chance for next year. Maybe, if he was from Kyle's future and not some other possible timeline, they'd see each other again. That was something to look forward to.
