Gloating; Stupidity; Mockery & More...
Oh, the absurdity/hilarity of it all...right, my friend tells me "Good job" and I have no idea what he's talking about- 'What did I do?'- "Not what you did, what your band did"- 'Uh, what'd we do?'- "Oh, you don't know...he doesn't know"...but, as it turns out- ASS got City Pages best new band...*dramatic pause* hafuckingha!...okay, this really needs a 'what the fuck!?- for the record'...so- for the record!: Uh, our first show was in, like, 2002!?...our drummer moved to Denver about 9 months ago (we got a replacement , but haven't played any shows since February, cause we weren't writing new songs, and didn't really have a new record to bother promoting cause Profane Existence has been sitting on/saving up to release, the EP we recorded sometime in December)...not only that, but the only song they talk about in the article is a freakin' cover- by the Portland duo Fagatron (also, now that I think about it- even though I did get to do a funny Blixa scream backing track- I would have recorded that particular song totally differently now)...so err uh, I gues what I'm getting at here, is, uh?...I guess I'm not too worried about the cliche of "best new band" title being a mark of death for prospective new groups...it seemed ASS already had one foot out the door about half a year ago?...its just so silly and weird!?...I had to mention it; you'd think the main rag of the city would be a little more, err, 'with the times', i guess? (though I suppose I'm not too suprised- scenes' don't really function like current events; but still?)...why didn't they pick Ganglion (Jim Ass's other band) or The Blackthorns?- they're both reasonably new (and, really amazing)...I bet all the kids are saying: 'Oh, Ass is so two years ago, *duher*'...hehehe...
In other news (theres much too much to tell, so I'll be brief, and lame)- heres my Onion horoscope:

...yup...but replace "cocaine" with "tramadol"...and in flutter news: every-thing is changing!?...I'm scared and exited...
