I need some technical help

I don't know why my printer hates me. I was printing out some letters yesterday for school. The program got stuck on this one document, so I went to "Cancel Print" and cleared everything out. But since yesterday I'm still getting the message that Word is deleting that document from the queue. And, at the bottom of the dialogue box is a message " ( Read more... )

What kind of printer is it, and is the computer Mac or PC?

It's an HP deskjet 3600. The computer's a Gateway PC.

HP printers can be a bitch. We had a couple at my last job. Here's something that might help:

In the past when I've actually called HP tech support, the only way to completely reboot the printer was to almost disasemble it. You take out the paper tray, duplexing unit (if you have one), then the ink cartidges in right to left order, then the printer heads (if they are seperate) in right to left order. Then shut the printer down and restart it. Then put everything back in the excact reverse of houe you took it out. Then shut off/restart the printer agian.
