Still here
Strangely (or maybe not so much), after over 4 years of blogging on LJ, I seem to finally be tiring of it. Tiring or withdrawing some, probably a bit of both. Some of it is due to Facebooking, some to focusing on the pregnancy and the major changes to come, some to work actually being busy, and finally, I think I'm mostly just over it. But it is still nice to know that you are out there.
S did tell me she missed seeing my posts, so I'll still try and pop in every now and then. And I'm sure I'll have some pics to share once the little one arrives.
In the mean time, we had a lovely Valentine's Day during which we shared a fancy dinner at DC Coast. We ate our fill of a meal including a ginger-scallion-salmon amuse bouche, heirloom beet salad, crab & lobster boudin, perfectly cooked beef tenderloin with black truffle sauce, tuna steaks, dark chocolate tart and lemon mousse bomb. I felt full the entire next day as well. Everything we do now makes me think, this is the last time we'll be doing this before the baby. It's pretty mind-blowing.
I've been bowling every couple of weeks with my coworkers. My last score was a 135, beating my boss by 9 points :) Hopefully I can hold onto my undefeated reign and continue with this great form of stress relief during the lunch hour. The process is still ongoing to find my old boss's replacement. Not going that great unfortunately, but we're interviewing over the next couple weeks. S & I have seen a lot of friends and family lately, sharing meals with parents and grandparents. Groaning over the L-word with other couples. We've been taking a weekly birth class, going to many doctor's appts, setting up more appts for things like newborn care and finding a pediatrician. Life has been very busy and this is only just the start.
