Today was interesting to say the least.
It was my first day of school, and it was also a scramble day to figure out where the hell I was going to get money to pay my power bill that was due, you guessed it, today.
I had tip money, I was supposed to clean my friend's house for a few extra dollers, but that's when I decide," Hey, why not just sell pieces of my own body?"
I couldn't find any takers for my kidneys just yet (oh, but I will) so I decide to go and give plasma. I've "given" plasma two other times, neither of which has turned out very well, but today was by far the worst.
They couldn't find my vein and had to do that whole bit of raping my arm with the needle, but eventually everything started comeing out just fine. So fine, in fact, that it seemed my blood just couldn't wait to get the hell out of my body, and refused to go back in, no matter how hard they tried.
That's the part when they found the blood clot in my arm, and said, "Well, aren't you thankful we got that out of there?" This was said as I was passing out due to lack of blood. They took me somewhere to lay down for a while and called Ryan. His phone was off, and I was cold, dizzy, and in a strange place. So, I waited for the nurse to leave and bolted. I stumbled out to my car and floored it until I got to chatt-state praying I wouldn't pass out on the way there.
I didn't, but I did just about as soon as I got there. My friends finally got in touch with Ryan and he came to get me. We went to eat at Ryan's (the resturaunt) and that did make me feel a little better, until I bent down to pick something up, and my arm started gushing blood. We freaked out until we got it to stop, but I went to sleep and was not functional for the next 5 hours. I'm still not, and I need to go to bed.
They weren't able to give me any of my blood back, or even any saline. Just two juice boxes and ....get this....$20 fucking dollers. 20. It wasn't worth it, god damnit. I'm never donating plasma again.
