i leave tomorrow morning with my choir for brazil, where we'll be touring for 2 weeks. i will talk about the trip here afterwards, but if you wanna see pictures and such, find my facebook. i don't have time to put them up here (i don't know how to either). also, i get back on july 26th, 5 full days after the last harry potter book comes out. i'm sure that by then, most, if not all of you, will have finished the book by then. please don't spoil it for me!
floyd landis, the winner of last year's tour de france before testing positive for testosterone, recently wrote a book ("positively false") which explains his side of the story in this entire steriod debacle. he came to third place books in lake forest park yesterday to promote his book. my dad and i, who are cycling fans, decided to go.
the place was already packed when we arrived. landis was greeted to a standing ovation by the audience (many of whom were wearing bike shirts and spandex). he spoke for about 5 minutes on why he wrote the book, and then he took questions for about 40 minutes. the questions covered everything from his faith growing up to the toughest part of the tour to his current battle to keep his tour title from last year. i found it very interesting, even though i was standing near the back where it was hard to hear.
