Honestly I don't remember when I had a weekend that was this good and filled with action. First, it has been spectacular outside. I have been riding bikes a lot lately, and I love riding bikes. Friday I got up early and ate breakfast with a couple of guys. After my one class, Jonny and I rode bikes down to Circle of Hope. They were doing Stations of the Cross, which is where you walk through the sanctuary and reflect on the day of Jesus’ death. Instead of doing it inside, we walked around Fishtown and Kensington (I think, I'm not sure where the lines for the neighborhoods are). Anyways, it was a great time of reflection and thinking and understanding the meaning of Easter. Also, we met some people in the neighborhood who where interested in what we were doing. The first lady thought we were checking out vacant lots around the area to buy up. The second guy wanted to talk about Jehovah’s witnesses, and he had a tattoo of Darth Maul and told us, "Don't worry, it's not the devil." The last lady just wanted to talk, she told Jonny he had a beautiful voice, and she gave us both a kiss on the cheek. It was definitely crazy, but I just really enjoyed being out in the community and being real with the people who live there. After that, Alexander Feeman came to Temple, and the three of us rode bikes down to the Electric Factory. A crappy venue, but we got right up to the front. Against Me! was amazing, and I really think they're doing the right thing in the music industry. I like them a lot more each time I see them live. There were only two bands, and I liked them both a lot, so that was cool. Alkaline Trio was okay; the set was kind of crappy other than seeing Goddammit played the whole way through. I really don't feel the need to invest anymore money in their live show or CDs. We watched Van Wilder, but it was on TV and they cut out some key scenes.

Usually by Sunday I can't even remember what happened on Friday, but that was a pretty good recap. Once I saw a magician and he had this trick where someone wrote a name on a piece of paper with a marker and he was going to guess it or something like that. He said, "at this point in the trick, let's recap" He meant the marker!! I thought it was hilarious.

Saturday I went down to South St. with Jonny, Alex, Tanner, and Nick Lenzi. On the way there, Nick pointed out these guys who looked like they were in a band. I recognized one as Nate from Anberlin, who I had briefly met over Spring Break. Thinking I had nothing to lose, I call out the name Nate. It was him, and it was just so crazy that we happened to see him in downtown Philly. So we got on the guest list for their show later that night. At South St. we ate at Lorenzo, which is awesome, and saw this street performer magician who didn't do amazing tricks, but his delivery was the best. We rode bikes to the Troc, and saw the show. It was Brent, Jonny, Tanner, and myself. The first band, Classic Crime was generic, but okay. The Fold sucked, and Jonzetta was dancey goodness. At this point in the set we decided to move up in the crowd, which was terrible! I suspect this was a first show for a lot of people. I was up front for about two Anberlin songs and then came back. Their set wasn't the greatest because they didn't play much I knew. Emery was really good, but they weren't the best I've seen them. Their set was pretty good, even though they left without playing Walls, knowing for sure they were going to come back to play it. After the show, Nick Brent and I ordered Chinese and watched TV.

Brent and I got up around 5:38am to go to the Circle of Hope sunrise service. Where I was sitting, I could see the sky go from blue to gray to red to orange, and despite how early it was, I was really glad I was there. There were probably about 200 people, and there are people I'm always glad to see. I also got to talk to Aaron, mewithoutYou just got down in the studio and they got back last night. He's such a down to Earth dude that it makes me want to like their band more.

I went back to sleep after the service, and now I'm at work. I was really bummed about having to work on Easter, but I think it all worked out alright. I knew I wasn't going home, but I would have liked to go home with Jonny. This is a very long entry, but I am at work, and I just felt like there was a lot to say. I haven't had a weekend this good with shows since Further Seems Forever and MxPx played the same weekend at Metropol.

My hair is pretty long and I kind of want a mohawk, for at least a month or so. Anybody good with hair?
