dates
03/03/2011 period started.....finally! i haven't had one since christmas. antibiotics always screw my system up.
it's too late in the morning to get into details, but patrick and i set a date (july 30th, this year) and we're having rings made this weekend. i finally found something i like, and it is awesome. patrick is going to wear his grandfathers wedding band, and i cried when he told me the story. our grandpas died the same year and we both got up and spoke at the funerals. he read to me what he read out then and i just bawled like a little baby.
we're also house-hunting, which is WAY more fun than planning a wedding. the wedding keeps getting bigger....which is scary. but i also want to get up on a rooftop and shout to the world that we're getting married so maybe having a giant wedding with all of our family and friends is just what we need. but not formal. not in the fucking dead-heat of the summer. i really wish it were just going to be like a pool-party/bbq and i could get married in my bathing suit and a coverup. WITH my grocery-store feet. instead of having bridesmaids and groomsmen we're having kid-attendants. in my head i see sand-buckets filled with flowers. there will probably be a bounce house. and i will probably be in it a lot.
all the decision-making gets to me sometimes. i tell patrick i don't want to make another decision on certain days. i've just made enough. he takes it all in stride. if he had his way we'd be in a house right now and he'd already be wearing his wedding band.
