This is, quite seriously, an actual junk email I received just yesterday:
_______________

Hi Wesley,
I will keep your email and I am sure I will want a few samples to show.
Please do include me on closeout items as well. Thanks again.

There is a deep and hidden meaning somewhere in there, I know it. Were I ever to write a thesis, it would be on the meaning of life as represented in randomly-generated spam messages.

Anyway, it goes without saying that you have my vote. I'll be going door-to-door for most of this week, handing out pamplets and punching people in the face.

(don't ask why I was reading through my spam, by the way)

That was indeed going to be my first question. Oh well.

Yeah, I really can't figure out why people bother sending spam like that. I don't see how they benefit. They've obviously put a lot of effort into that one, but I can't see why. As near as I can tell they're not asking you for money.

Maybe the idea is just to get you to reply. You know, if you reply your email address instantly becomes a lot more valuable.

I almost did reply... because after all, who isn't interested in dguj? But then I thought I'd just wait for the atsy catalogue before deciding whether amphetamines were right for me.
