The Prophecy
"Where's the soul, Simon? You know, bigger then a breadbox?"

This was the first date movie I ever went to. Which probably says something.

Also to add: "Art of War" which has one of the best gun duels I've seen in a long time. ("Enemy at the Gates is the other one.)

"Ronin" if she hasn't seen it.

"Basic" is a well done movie that you guys might like. It's pretty much a rehash of rashomon, with John Travolta and Sammy Jackson chewing up the scenery like carpet.

I've seen Enemy, but don't own it. She's seen Ronin many times but *I* haven't, so while it doesn't directly apply to the purpose of this list, I suppose it ought to be on it anyway.

I think I wanted to see Art of War when it came out, but, man, Wesley Snipes. :)

I still need to see Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai too, although we don't own it. Eli totally reneged on that one and made us watch some other piece of crap instead. ;)

You do and you don't. It was really a piece of shit, but interesting at the same time.

Odd to see the concepts of honorable warrior reflected in the funny mirror of thuggish rap.
