So, every time I go to look at my dvd's for something to stick in the player and run, I wind up seeing a bunch of things that make me think, "Damn, Ardie's never seen that. I need to show it to her." But I can't ever hold any of those titles to memory, and watching a movie at home that I really would like her to watch means setting aside a night for it and shutting off the computers. Which she seems perfectly willing to do, mind, but life's been especially busy up through last weekend. So, finally, I've gone through my stack and *written down a list* of things I'm pretty sure she's not seen, and I'm going to post it here just so I have a place to refer to it. I suppose if anyone's got any ideas, feel free, but keep in mind that these are things a) already on my shelf and b) that she *hasn't* seen, the latter category of which is much smaller than it was when I met her.
12 Monkeys
Being John Malkovich
The Big Blue
Big Trouble in Little China
Blue Thunder
Carlito's Way
Casino
Clockers
The Dirty Dozen
Fargo
First Blood
The Insider
Leon
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
The Mummy
The Prophecy
Red Dawn
Summer of Sam
Talk Radio
The Thin Red Line (which *I* haven't even watched yet)
Three Kings (did she see this?)
Titanic
Wanted: Dead or Alive
What Dreams May Come
Wings of Desire (I may or may not go pick up 'Faraway! So Close' if she likes this, I'm of middling opinion of it myself. Also, my kingdom for a R1 digital release (fuck, I'd take blu-ray at this point) of 'Until the End of the World'.)
and, of course, we need to finish off Kieslowski with:
White (she's seen Blue)
Red
The Double Life of Veronique
