not so spiteful just now...
...cuz the last couple of weeks have seen the deaths of two great musicians, R.L. Burnside and Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown. I got to see each of them perform once, and the memories of their shows are still pretty clear in my mind. One day I'll be telling, well not grandchildren, but some younger folks, "Yeah chile, back in '95, me and my pal John-Tim went to see Gate at this dive in College Station..." and the younger folks will prolly have those polite, fixed smiles on their faces. Furthermore, although it is statistical bullshit, these deaths seem to come in threes, so who's next?
