Hey WPers! Question for you.
I was invited to a bridal shower this weekend for an acquaintance of mine. She's nice, but we aren't very close. Now, I know I'm not invited to the wedding, which is completely fine by me - like I said, I don't know her super well.
My question to you all is...is it rude if I don't go? I personally think it's sort of tacky to invite people to a gift-giving event if you aren't inviting them to your wedding (no offense meant if anyone is doing this). It seems like a way to squeeze gifts out of people you didn't include on your guest list to save money on your wedding.
My roommate told me, "Well, maybe she just wants to include more people she wasn't able to invite to the wedding." My roommate is nicer than I am, I guess. I told her, "That's what the bachelorette party is for." :x
Am I being totally unreasonable? Obviously I'm not going to go to this girl and tell her the real reason I'm not coming (I'll just say I'm busy), but IDK.
bridal shower,
