We're really getting down to the teeny tiny details now!

Anthony finally got a job, 8 months after he graduated college. It's a 6-month contract position, but there's a possibility of it turning into a full-time forever job. The only downside is that he had to move across the state, 2 hours away. So he comes home every other weekend. It sucks, because I thought we'd be done with long distance relationships after he graduated college. While it's not the 10 hours of our last LDR, it's still too far. I'm staying at his parents' house until either the 6 months are up, or he gets offered a full-time position. So we'll see.

Anyway, he was home this weekend, so we got some wedding stuff done. First we went to look at suits/tuxes for the guys. His parents, his 2 brothers, my parents, and my brother all went along. I originally wanted chocolate brown suits or tuxes. We stopped at this suit place called K & G Suit Warehouse. They didn't have much that we liked in the way of chocolate brown, but they did have this awesome light tan colored suit that I really fell in love with. We didn't want to commit to the first thing we saw, so we also went to Men's Wearhouse to look at their tuxes and suits.

They didn't have much in the way of light colored suits, and they had no light colored tuxes (except for white, which is too light). We were still debating renting a tux versus buying a suit, and decided it made more sense to rent the tuxes. Anthony's really the only one who could make use of a suit at this point in his life; the other 4 guys (our brothers, and his old roommate) are all still in college, so it makes more sense to rent. MW does have a nice chocolate brown tux, which we ended up going with for all the guys. We ordered Anthony the chocolate brown with an ivory vest and tie. MW is getting a new color called Key Lime, which is as close to apple green as they have. It's coming in soon, so I want to see what it looks like in person before deciding, but I think the groomsmen will all be in the Key Lime color. If I hate it, they'll probably be in pink.

The only thing is, now I'm kind of second guessing myself. See, my 3 bridesmaids are all in chocolate brown dresses. I feel like that's too much brown and blah. I thought MW said they would start getting more tan attire in around mid-February, but I can't remember if that was just suits, or if that also included tan tuxes. Has anyone ever rented a tan tuxedo from Men's Wearhouse before? Ughhh, i wish we hadn't jumped so quickly at the tux rental. I guess if they don't do tan tuxes, everyone is stuck in boring brown.

Ughhh, I'm just so peeved with myself right now. I'm trying to make this easy for everyone in the wedding, so I'm being practical. My girls wouldn't wear pink, and the shade of green I want isn't available at David's Bridal, so brown it was (never mind that I caved on my original vision of everyone in tea length because my one bridesmaid wouldn't do a short dress @_@). It doesn't make any sense for the guys to buy their suits, but MW doesn't have a tan tux (right now anyway), so brown it is. I just want to start all over on everyone else's attire. Everything isn't completely different from what I originally wanted, but just different enough to irritate me. Everyone is acting like I'm being a bridezilla just because I want what I want. And it's not like I've been asking for diamond-encrusted doves to fly out when we kiss. But both sets of parents keep giving me side-eyes on the color scheme ("4 is too many colors!"). Everything I want to do is too difficult and I need to find people to do it for me, apparently. But that's okay. I'm going to start putting my foot down on things from now on, and they'll see what a bridezilla can be. Ugh, stupid WE TV for throwing out that word.

We also finally found our officiant. We're going with Rev. Concetta Pampinella of Sacred Ceremonies. She's going to do a custom ceremony, and it'll be $250. I had found one other woman, but she charged $530 for a custom ceremony, which is just insane to me. $250 is way more reasonable.

We also picked up little white paper bags for the candy buffet.

The bridal shower is most likely going to be April 2nd, since that's when my mom and his mom are both on vacation. That's most likely going to be held in a room we can rent at the local community center for cheap.

Next up:
Find wedding bands (next weekend, when Anthony comes home)
Order flowers to start making bouquets
Keep getting addresses of guests
Create invitations for both the wedding and bridal shower
Decide on a honeymoon (we're thinking of taking a short local-ish vacation after the wedding, and then save up for a bigger tropical-ish honeymoon in the winter)
Keep planning the tiny details.
