I knew that Josh was going to propose to me for awhile, I just wasn't sure when. I had picked out the setting for the ring about six months ago, and I KNEW it was somewhere in the house! This past Friday night he took me out to a festival of lights around here (I LOOOOOOVE all things Christmas, so this was really special to me), and we walked around holding hands, and it was really romantic. I could tell that he was trying to ask me lol, but we could never get a time to be alone since it was really crowded. It was still really nice. When we got home he said he wanted to open one Christmas present early, got down on one knee, and said the best Christmas present he could ever get was to spend the rest of his life with me. AWWW.

Here is the ring:

The side and halo stones are diamonds (0.50 carat total), the main stone is a moissanite. He got the moissanate with the intention that he would "upgrade" to a diamond when he saved up more, because he wanted to propose NOW but didn't have the money to buy a 1 carat diamond (which is what he wanted to get me..??? insane!). I told him though that I love the ring he gave me and that I don't need to "upgrade" ever. I love this ring!!

So, my question: I want to get married in June, he wants to get married in September. He feels that there isn't enough time to plan a wedding for June. I've always wanted a spring wedding and I don't want to have to wait until 2012. I've never done this before, so I'm asking you guys who are in the midst of planning: Is there enough time to plan a June wedding? We want a really simple affair with about 50 people (mostly family), and have the reception be more like a party than a typical wedding reception. Thanks for any advice you guys can give me!
