I was wondering if anybody could point me the way of blogs/articles/coloumns of women and men talking about taking on your partners last name.
I am still deciding if I should take my last name. My last name is part of who I am and I am quite of my last name. I like it and it sounds great. If we were not having kids I would not change it but I do want kids and I want them to have the same last name as me...Whether or not its his or mine.
yes he could change but he doesnt want to
no we do not want to combine our names for us or for the child.
I know it would be easier if I change my name but at the moment I am 50/50 and everyone around me is telling "oh you will" and I feel like not taking his name just to go against everybody else(Yeah I know stupid but I am who I am today because of that exact way of life and its not all bad)
He would prefer it but he really doesnt care that much so its all up to me.
So...TLDR over. Does anybody have blogs talking about this side of view...preferably from feminist blogs/websites.
(And yes I have looked on www.offbeatbride.com.)
