Couple: Emily & Dave
Wedding Date: 1/29/11
Location: Carmel, CA
Theme: Vintage with a little bit of wintery pine cone whimsy
How we Met: October 2008, via Meetup.com. Dave started a heavy metal meetup and hosted a bbq at his apartment. By chance, I joined his meetup about a week before his bbq, was intrigued by the event and his user profile, and we hit it off immediately. You could even call it love at first sight. I know what you're thinking, heavy metal?!? Yes, we're huge metal heads.
Here we are in Vegas for my work conference: March 2010. Btw my hair has grown leaps and bounds since this picture. Thank you Mane & Tail!

My beautiful vintage 1950's ring! From Lang Antiques in San Francisco, Granat Bros. BFF Leina's rings are on the left, mine is on the right. :)

We used this picture for our save the dates. This one's courtesy of my dad, who happens to be a wedding photographer. I had some drama with him and the photography that some of you might remember... oh I'd rather not relive it though. Seriously.

My lovely dress. I'll give the short sweet version of this story. I went to a vintage store that I frequent and there were only 2 wedding dresses there, no joke. This one fit me like a glove with no alterations. As cliche as it sounds, it really was meant to be.

My bouquet inspiration: this is a biedermeier style bouquet that I am IN LOVE WITH. My bouquet will be a 3 layer biedermeier the top layer with dark purple hydrangea and stephanotis sprinkled on top, the middle layer will have cherry brandy roses and red hypericum berries, and the bottom will have hot pink mini carnations, pine cones, and green button mums. My florist is Sarah Pink of Pink Petals in Felton, CA.
