here. I think I'm a tad sillier this time around, but what can you do?
Tomorrow I am going in for my final dress fitting. I do understand that having and final fitting a gown this early is probably the worst idea in history, but I hate my dress shop. When I went to purchase it the experience was lovely, but the post purchase experience hasn't been the best time. The dress was paid in full last year, but when I went in for my fitting in August they said I still owed $150 dollars on it. Even though all alterations and dress payments were completed. But It disgusts me that I had to pay that when the balance was already paid in full. However, after doing some internet research, I saw that the dress shop I had gone to has the worst possible reputation in the Philadelphia area. So word to the wise, research your dress shop before you go out shopping for dresses.
Also when I went in for my fitting in August, the woman in alterations started off a sour puss, then she kinda lightened up a little bit, but I remember her saying something mean and snarky about me in my dress. Something about she was going to a wedding and that the bride will look better than me. I let it slide, because I wasn't going to get into that kind of childish behavior with someone I don't know or care about, but it was rather rude and inappropriate. So needless to say I want to avoid having to go back there again next year. I just want them to do the alterations and then I will gather my gown up and have it at home until next November. Any additional alterations (such as hemming cause I canceled those) and the pressing will also have to wait until next year.
In the meantime, I am going to Orlando Florida for a few weeks and I want to look at a few venue sites while I'm there. I have a couple in mind:
The Royal Crest Room in St. Cloud
The Renaissance Orlando at Sea World And lastly,
The Ballroom on Church Street I'm kinda pulling for the last two, especially since The Ballroom on Church Street is jaw dropping. Just look at the Atrium.
But I want to take a look at these places while I am in Florida to see what our options are. Are there any other central FL brides who can point me in a good venue direction as well? Or do you think what I have is a good mix?
