Detroit Metro Picture locations

I checked the tags, but didn't have much luck.  I need suggestions for indoor picture ideas in or around Dearborn, Mi.  In Dearborn would be great, but I'm willing to go to surrounding areas as long as their within 15 to 20 minutes away.  I just don't want to go too far because of a time limit.  As long as the weather cooperates, I've got a place I want to go, but it's outdoors so if it's raining or super cold, we need an indoor back up plan.

I checked with the Dearborn Inn today and they want $200....just to be able to take pictures inside their hotel.  Yikes, I cannot afford that.  The Fairlane Mansion is an idea too but they require a permit, which I am sure comes with a hefty price tag as well.  I asked our photographer if they had any ideas and she said usually in the case of bad weather they just head to the reception site earlier and take some pics there.  I like my hall, but it's really small and there aren't really any magnificent places to take pictures there.

My only idea right now is one of the two bigger halls in Livonia, Laurel Manor and Burton Manor.  I know Laurel for sure has a really pretty staircase....if asked they probably don't want any wedding parties coming in that aren't having their reception there, but there are several banquet rooms within that place, I doubt anyone will notice that we just came in to take pictures.  But if anyone has any better suggestions I am all ears.

(If this post sounds familiar, I did post a few months back asking for location ideas in Downtown Detroit and got some great ideas.  Unfortunately I have since rethought our time line and Detroit just isn't possible)
