Okay, so the FH and I were talking, and we've decided to get married on a weekday, instead of Saturday. (It's cheaper, and fewer guests will be able to make it. We do NOT want a big wedding, and there are guests who are already on my "B" list that I'll be inviting solely to keep the peace.)
We want a mid-afternoon reception, to keep costs down as well. But my concern is that what if the reception starts at 3 and continues til 7, and all I've got are heavy hors d'ouerves?
I need some advice. Is that crappy? To just have heavy hors d'ouerves even if the reception lasts into dinner time? Or should I plan a sit-down luncheon style to be served around five? (The catering we're looking at does a beautiful luncheon for about 17 dollars a head, and the food is similar to the dinner, but less expensive.)
