Alright, so, I used to read this community daily.. obsessively.. but I always felt a little weird about it because my wedding was still sooooo far away. Well, now that's officially LESS than ONE year away, I guess I feel a little more legit about being here! Plus, we had our engagement photos done a few weeks ago and got them back yesterday... and needless to say, I'm a tad bit excited about them. And want to show everyone. And anyone. :)
And since it's been ages since I've posted anything here.. a little reminder of who the heck I am:
Me = Katie, 26.
Fiance = Kyle, 30.
We live in Chicago, but are originally from Minnesota.
Wedding = 10.02.10
Venue = Harmony Park.. a gorgeous outdoor music and campground facility in the middle-of-nowhere Minnesota.
We've been engaged for over 2 years. He proposed to me at Wall Drug in South Dakota. Also, we're proud owners of a 1972 Volkswagen camper bus named Louise. She's pretty much the inspiration for our wedding theme.. :)
There, that settles it.
I'm using a similar photo for our invites/save the dates.. but it's top secret!
Did anyone else have problems with laughing throughout their entire engagement shoot? We were like a giggle factory.
We obviously belong in some sort of catalog.
Typical.
I had no idea Kyle was such a ham. He LOVED the camera.
The sign he proposed with. :D
Turns out the sign is the exact length of the bus! Who knew.
But in all seriousness.. our one "old fashioned" photo for the family. :)
The sunset photos turned out 1000000000000x better than I expected!
Because I'm a huge dork, I took screen caps of a bunch of photos because I loved how they looked on his website. Yes. Color me nerdy.
My future husband is a VW-driving, scarf-wearing superhero. Jealous?
Rolling up the sign.
Ok, there's about a thousand more but I will restrain myself. :) And I URGE all you Minnesota or midwest brides to check out
scottbaconphoto.com!!!! He's amazing.
