I'm having dress issues, and I haven't even ordered one yet! I want an "Old Hollywood" themed wedding (not over the top Old Hollywood, just simple touches of it here and there). I have been eyeing this dress for weeks now but I can't decide what I want! My cousin was generous enough to give me quite a bit of starter money for the down payment on

I like the dress. Not personally thrilled with the silver around the waist, but that's a personal thing. I think the cut is very nice.

I think of these more along the Old Hollywood/Jane Austen look…some more toward one or the other

Just me, but when I think "Old Hollywood" I think mermaid shapes, an emphasis on the waist (whereas the empire waist on this dress disguises your waist), satin martial, interesting necklines/backs.

I am also going for the old Hollywood style, and this was my 2nd runner up dress (the price was a little over my budget...)

Weirdly enough, I think the dress I just got would work. At least, I feel like I could have worn it to the Oscars in 1949, you know?

I just posted pictures of it yesterday, here. (It's Alfred Angelo 1148 but that's how it looks on me, not on the model. I feel like on me it looks like a totally different dress than on the website.)
