I just made brownies
It's after 9:30 at night and I'm moments away from pulling a pan of brownies out of the oven.
Homemade brownies. Not from a mix. Melt the squares of unsweetened chocolate in the butter honest to god brownies. -
Thoughts on baking
I can't think of a time in my life when I wasn't baking, so I'm guessing I started pretty young. Certainly by the time I was a preteen I was baking on my own, with no assistance from my mom. Later I went to culinary school and worked (briefly) in a bakery. Later still I assisted the pastry chef at Skywalker Ranch, making the huge cookies we were ( Read more... ) -
My dreams involve baked goods
I took a nap this afternoon and had dream about a Cinnabon. In my dream, Cinnabon was like a stand-alone fast food restaurant with tables. It was decorated in that sort of light wood and brass style of a TGI Friday's, or similar ( Read more... ) -
