Honeymoon registry?

Dec 14, 2008 12:06

My FH is currently on a 3 week lay-off from his job due to a slow-down in production and I am a recent college graduate who is working at a fast food joint during the week and a group home every other weekend. Neither job pays well and the hunt for my first professional job does not seem to be getting any better due to the fact that I don't have ( Read more... )

we're not going on a honeymoon, simple as that. they are not required, and we'd rather have a wedding that involves our friends and family. we are paying for the wedding ourselves, so we understand.

I do not have much advice as far as the honeymoon registries except to say a lot of people will want to physically bring a gift to your wedding. or send you one. are you registered elsewhere, as well?

I think there are websites you do honeymoon registeries through.

Here, I just googled "honeymoon registries"

We haven't gotten to our registry yet. I've never been married before so I'm not sure how early I need to register? We're getting married in August. And yes, we plan on registering elsewhere -- we're looking at Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Pier 1.

Thanks for the google information. :o)

ooh, we are at target and bed bath and beyond. we have never been married before, either, but they give you a list and suggestions of stuff to look for/consider.

I'll definitely have to check it out. Do you think 8 months out is too early to register? I'm just afraid if we do it THIS early that half the stuff won't be available by the wedding day. I'm so paranoid it's disgusting. lol.

And I'm sure we'll need to consider pretty much everything. I still live with my dad so I have nothing to offer with the exception of a crockpot. lol. And my FH... is a bachelor to the highest degree. Like as in -- he has 2 bath towels. *headdesk*

no we registered before 8 months. Some things may not be in stock at the time of your wedding, but most will.

Thanks. Good to know! Maybe we'll start that soon since FH is off of work and has nothing better to do for the next 3 weeks anyway :o)
