Okay, to give you something to go on, here is the timeline we have established:
Reception
6:00 Grand Entrance
6:15 First Dance
6:30-7:30 Dinner (Buffet) and Toasts
7:30-7:45 cake cutting and serving
7:45-8:00 bride/father and mother/groom dances
8:00-8:15 parent dance (we're dancing to Through the Years with our parents) and the bridal party dance (Sweet Home Alabama)
8:15-9:00 open floor dancing
9:00-9:15 bouquet and garter tosses
9:15-9:30 or 9:45: Dollar dance
9:45-10:00 Last dances
10:00-?? After party maybe??
You will note that there is only like 45 minutes for dancing :(. My question is this: Has anyone here ever done the main dances during dinner, to get them out of the way? I would like to have more time for my guest to dance, and 45 minutes is like nothing! If we did the dances during dinner, that would open up an extra hour for our guest to dance. Has anyone done this?
