kids at the wedding

so last night my mom came up to our apartment (until we move into a house in oct!!) and I made her and my fiance dinner. we talked a little about the wedding. my mom sketched an alfred angelo inspiration (minus a few details i hate). so i guess she still wants to make my dress.

well anyway, the subject of kids came up. two of my older cousins both have quite a few kids. neither of them invited me to the wedding when i was a kid. so my mom pointed that out, that they should understand if we invite them and their husbands and no kids. the one thing that worries me is that we will have some kids there, like the flower girl, junior maid, and ring bearer (hopefully we will think of someone). so then my mom said we should hire a babysitter for the reception so the kids dont have to be there. since our house will be in the same neighborhood, we could do that....

what do you think? one of my maid's of honor has a baby girl (who i refer to at my niece) and she will be 1 yr and 9 mos at the wedding. my mom said she shouldnt come because then my maid of honor wouldnt have fun. she'd be watching her baby girl the whole time. :( i was so anticipating her being there i love that little girl to death.
