Why I love my mom, Part the Zillionth
My mom, in her infinite wisdom, came up with a brilliant idea that I can't believe I didn't think of before.
One of my major stresses is the fact that our second bedroom/home office is so taken over by wedding stuff that I don't have room to store regular stuff. Like, literally, all of our extra blankets and pillows and stuff like that are currently being stored on the floor of our bedroom. So not cool!
So to alleviate that, and also hopefully make it a little bit easier logistically on the day of the wedding, my mom suggested getting a little storage unit near the wedding site. BRILLIANT.
Obviously I won't put anything in there that I will need access to between now and the wedding, but my 35982374692834698 vases? GOING INTO STORAGE. Awesome. I found a place that is just a few blocks from the wedding site, and it's $88/month for a 5 x 12' unit (more space than I really need!), and the first month is free. WOOHOO. I am perfectly willing to spend an extra $270 in order to re-claim a little bit of my apartment (and a little bit of my sanity?).
I'm so glad she's here right now, even if my friends have chosen the period of time she's in town to plan every super-fun thing they can think of, which I am missing. But we are getting loads of wedding stuff done! Soon I'll do a little update on all the stuff we've done... it's so exciting!
Currently I am being buried alive under the thank-you notes I need to write. But I'm actually having fun with them - everyone was so awesome and thoughtful at the shower! The thank-yous practically write themselves.
