so... this guy i know sent me this FWD message... and in it was this story about someone recalling their youth in the 50's... and it was like a sitcom would be described... and at the end was something about fixing things that are broken rather than throwing them away... one of the examples was marriage... and i can't agree with this... because i

i 100% think that you should wait if you want to wait, whatever, it's your deal... i just think that its a helluva lotta pressure for an idea designed to keep the births of bastard children down... i think the problems occur when people see sex as love... you have to be mature about it... you have to see sex as a carnal thing and love as an emotional thing and you have to be able to know when they meet in the middle and when they don't... i've had sex with people i didn't love and i've had sex with people i did love... i'm smart enough not to confuse the two... if you can't handle sex vs. love, why are you getting married? you're obviously not mature enough to handle it...

marriage is a wonderful thing, unfortunately people rush into it, and this is my point... you gotta have your head on straight... i can totally look at this objectively, mind-blowing sex or not, because sex does not cloud my judgement... it has before, but it doesn't right now... i never said young people can't get married... i just know that a lot of people rush in... i am friends with too many of the people fran is talking about, those people who were against marriage and met that person that made them say 'ok, nevermind.' and a few years later, it was over... i also know people who got married in their very early 20's and have since had several children and are very happy (my stepmother married my father when she was 22, and they're a good example of a great marriage)... its not that i don't believe in love and marriage... i just believe in the stupidity of the human race...
