So how does magic work in the comm? Can people use it and it just doesn't have any effect because it's virtual? Do they blow up their box at home if they try?

And for characters who don't have VR technology on their world, I assume the gear just mysteriously shows up on their doorstep, right?

And you probably saw that I reserved Subaru from .hack//SIGN; since pretty much all we ever see of her in the series is her online avatar from The World, it'd be fine to use her World avatar in Webscape as well, right?

Two questions, is canon updating allowed and what happens if a character dies in real life interaction?

Considering the nature of Webscape, where all characters have lives outside of the chatroom, canon updates are allowed whenever a player feels like going through one :D No mod approval needed!

Aaaand if a character dies in RL, their spirit, of sorts, becomes a part of the system. They cease to exist in their world and can only interact with people in the chat room. Don't worry, there are (of course) plenty of things to keep them occupied :D Hacking is still disallowed as F1 won't realize them as anything but users, however.

POTENTIAL RYOJI CAN HAS QUESTION. On posting and things:

You say the game is just a virtual reality chat... thing, right? The example I have in my head is how the world/game works in the series .Hack--like you put a visor on and login and you see the world around you, and other people see your avatar, and you see through the avatar's eyes, but it's just virtual and you're TECHNICALLY at home... that's how it works, right? Considering a character has access to modern stuff like that.

I... er, hope how I phrased that makes sense. I am good at not making sense. 8|;;; Sorry for length, orz.
