(no subject)
i am in the new apartment. i'm knee-deep in boxes of STUFF. my friday night consists of me n' the tortoise, some delicious pasta i whipped up, a few beers, the tv, and the occasional cigarette on the front stoop...i can feel the anxiety melting away. granted, getting this place to livable is going to prove to take nothing short of a miracle, right now i feel...AT PEACE.
i got one of the bikes in ridable condition today so could get to work...the beastly blue schwinn. it weights 8 tons and the back brakes are out, but it got me there and back. there are 8 bikes in this apartment and only 3 human residents...sometimes quirky habits are a bad thing.
the supercomputer is officially up and running. i am connected to the interweb via MAGIC now. i need more room in my room to make rig the peripheral octupus that it's become....scanner, two printers, various card drives, external memory and what not...soon. very soon.
i think this was a very good move. there seems to be an automatic chemistry with the new roommates. if nothing else we have the touchstone of photogeekiness.
a couple of my female friends are falling into unfortunate positions, it seems. they're running with a crew where females seem to be relegated to the position of "fill-in-the-blank's girlfriend"...sad...and fucking ridiculous. alas. R.I.P.
give me a week. who wants to come sit for me and my new homemade camera?
