Happy belated birthday, France! However, this Les Mis nerd typically celebrates French-ness on June 6th instead, in honour of Barricade Day. Back then, I wrote a little story as celebration:
Title:
A Mighty Fine LifeGenre: General/Friendship
Characters: Gavroche, various newsies, the Amis, Marius, Eponine, Cosette, Valjean, and the Magnon children
Rating: PG
Notes: Crossover of Les Miserables and Newsies
Summary: Nobody carries the banner quite like the vivacious smart-aleck Gavroche, or as he is known to his fellow newsies, Urchin. Featuring our beloved newsboys as well as our favourite student revolutionaries, and maybe even an ex-convict or two.
Tonight I shall hopefully have it completed. It's only a three-shot. Now, on to the challenge!
DAY 15 - A CHARACTER YOU WOULD WANT TO COOK FOR YOU
Though I'm trying not to repeat characters, in the end I HAD to chose Spain! I was lucky enough to visit the lovely place (Madrid and Barcelona) in my last year of high school, on an art trip. And the food was wonderful, from fancy restaurant fare with tapas and paella to the potato sandwiches and iberico ham street food. And of course, churros. I recall stirring my cup of chocolate with a spoon and finding little unmelted bits in it. It was so thick and creamy, more like sauce than liquid....ngyahhh!! Spanish food is so awesome!!
DAY 16 - A CHARACTER YOU WOULDN'T MIND PRANCING NAKED FOR YOU
Turkeyyy. Gahh, he's so sexy. Really. Why do I see him painted as the villain so often? Perhaps it's because I read Spamano all the time, but still! He actually didn't really do anyything TRULY bad to either Spain or Romano. He intended to conquer Europe anyway and just happened to start with Romano (who could have avoided the situation if he didn't RUN AWAY from Spain!) and then, Spain provoked him into fighting. But, I digress. The point is that Turkey is incredibly sexy and I would pounce on him if the opportunity arose.
